When we pray, things happen.
God meets needs, changes hearts, and transforms lives.
Throughout the world we see the harmful effects of poverty, exploitation, and corruption, and we must not fail to take these issues seriously: we must believe firmly that together God's people can make a tangible difference in His world. The Bible is packed with stories of radical revolution and renewal, and we must faithfully expect and aim for that reality today.
The Bible actually tells us, in Mark 11 v 22-24, that trusting in God is the key to powerful and transformative prayer. "'Have faith in God,' Jesus answered. 'I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea', and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours'."
Prayer is integral to the work of Viva, and we believe it to be as vital to the changing of children's lives as any of our partnership initiatives or training programmes. So through various events, daily and weekly prayer requests, and a range of prayer resources we remind ourselves that God is at the centre of all Viva does.
Please use this space to inform and guide your prayers as together we call out to God for the vulnerable and valuable children of His world.

Over one-half of the world s population is under 25. That is why ministering to youth is so important. And, even though those in youth work often feel overwhelmed, many are discovering the power of cooperation! By applying proven principles and working together, youth can be more effectively reached, equipped and mobilized for the cause of Jesus Christ.
